Ferrari is widely considered the most popular supercar brand in the world, with each and every one of its models falling squarely in the luxury sports car category.
Founded by Enzo Ferrari in 1939 as an offshoot of the race division of
Alfa Romeo
, Ferrari released their first production model—the Ferrari 166 Inter—in 1948. Since then, the Italian automakers have been devoted to crafting sports cars with custom bodywork as a standard feature.
With the most affordable model in their 2022 lineup boasting a $222,000 price tag—and the most expensive costing more than $2.2 million upfront—Ferrari has firmly cemented itself as a leader in the high-end luxury sports car world.
Whether you’re in the market for the nearly 1000-horsepower powertrain of the 2022 Ferrari SF90 Spider, or are ready to splurge on the Icona Series Ferrari Daytona SP3, you can find the best

Is Ferrari a luxury car?

Absolutely, 100%, yes—Ferrari is a leader in the luxury car game. Emphasizing power, style, and custom body work, Ferrari has solely produced luxury sports cars since its first production model was unveiled in 1948.

What makes a luxury car?

Even just glancing at a Ferrari is enough for most drivers to be convinced of the brand’s luxury status, with each of their supercars looking as sleek, stylish, and downright speedy as the last. But what exactly designates a Ferrari—or any car for that matter—as a luxury car?
There’s no set-in-stone definition for what makes a luxury car—you kind of just know it when you see it. Some of the key features of all Ferrari models that convince us of their luxury status include:
  • Performance features, including 12-cylinder engines, upgraded suspensions, and power outputs nearing 1,000 hp
  • Comfort features such as Kevlar®, genuine leather, and Alcantara® fabric upholstery
  • Technology features like premium audio systems, integrated satellite navigation, and voice activation, recognition, and command systems
  • Style features, including devised aerodynamics, custom bodywork, and carbon-fiber striping
Ferrari shines in terms of performance quality—offering engines that produce unimaginable power compared to mass-market vehicles like a Honda or Toyota. Toss in state-of-the-art comfort materials and one-of-a-kind styling, and Ferrari is clearly one of the most luxurious car brands out there.

Is Ferrari a good luxury brand?

From its value to it’s popular demand, it’s hard to deny Ferrari’s competence as a luxury car brand. But if you’re looking for affordable luxury, forget about a Ferrari. The cheapest 2022 Ferrari model—the Roma—boasts a starting price of $222,000. That’s more than five times the price of luxury cars from brands like
Acura
,
Ford
, and
BMW
That being said, if you’re looking for one-of-a-kind style, comfort, and nearly unbeatable performance capabilities, then a Ferrari might be a great fit. In addition to being a joy to drive, you’re guaranteed to look cool behind the wheel of a Ferrari—no matter which model you drive.

This app is great, but the customer service is even better! Not to mention convenient! My husband and I got the lowest rate (much lower than the rates I was finding online through my own searches), quickly, and pretty much all through text message! Thank you so much for a hassle free experience👍
