Lina Zhang is co-founder and vice president of operations at Jerry, where she leads a global team responsible for operations, talent acquisition, content, legal, and compliance. Lina’s operational excellence was a critical enabler of Jerry’s 10x growth in its first year of operation.
Prior to Jerry, Lina and her Jerry co-founders, Art Agrawal and Musawir Shah, led YourMechanic, the largest on-demand car repair services provider. In one year, Lina built and scaled YourMechanic operations from five markets to more than 50. The trio left YourMechanic to incubate Jerry at Y Combinator in 2017.
Lina’s previous roles include intellectual property attorney at Morrison & Foerster LLP and a biomedical researcher at Stanford University.
Lina holds a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from Nanjing University, a doctorate in biochemistry from Dartmouth College, and a juris doctorate from the University of California Berkeley School of Law. She’s a member of the State Bar of California and a licensed property and casualty insurance producer in all 50 states.
Elin Nozewski is vice president of communications at Jerry. She leads the development of the company’s strategic communications and supports growth for the fast-growing AllCar™ app through internal and external channels. Elin brings 20 years of experience planning and executing reputation-building communications campaigns for global brands and start-ups.
Most recently, Elin was senior vice president and partner at global communications firm FleishmanHillard. There, she co-led the brand marketing team at the company’s headquarters office and served clients across the automotive, travel, consumer technology, fashion, logistics, and retail industries. Previously, Elin held roles at public relations firms Airfoil Group and Golin. Her clients have included Enterprise Holdings, eBay, PayPal, Nintendo of America, Fossil Group, UPS, and many others.
Elin holds a bachelor’s degree in communication studies from the University of Michigan and is a 2019 graduate of the Leadership St. Louis program.
Maggie Leung is vice president of content and organic growth at Jerry. She has extensive experience in making information as user-friendly as possible and building remote teams to do that.
As NerdWallet’s founding vice president of content and a member of its executive team, she was instrumental in building the personal finance platform from early stage towards an IPO. During her tenure, NerdWallet grew from an unknown brand into a trusted one, helping tens of millions of users monthly to make informed decisions. By the time she left the company, she was leading about 100 full-time staff writers and editors remotely, and NerdWallet had acquired and integrated companies in the U.S. and U.K.
Maggie also led content teams at venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz and B2B startup ClickUp, a global productivity and project management platform. During her first career, she spent decades in news, at outlets such as CNN, The Washington Post, and The Wall Street Journal.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism from San Francisco State University. She worked her way through college to avoid student debt, reflecting a longstanding belief in optimizing financial decisions.
Kevin Berry is the Senior Director of Content at Jerry and has been working in the digital content space since 2011 across the car insurance/repair, personal finance, travel and sports industries. Prior to Jerry, Kevin was a content team lead at NerdWallet overseeing the Multimedia Production and Travel Rewards teams. Previously, he worked for NBC Sports, Comcast Cable and Nike. He has a Master`s Degree from Arkansas State and a Bachelor`s from Oregon State University.
Lacie Glover is a Lead Content Strategist with sixteen years’ experience in the insurance category. Prior to Jerry, she spent more than a decade on NerdWallet’s content team writing, editing and then overseeing the auto insurance category, as well as dabbling in other insurance and automotive topics. Prior to her career in the online personal finance content space, Lacie spent time in the hard sciences, in clinical research and chemistry labs. She has a bachelor’s degree from Colorado State University.
Xuyun Zeng is a content strategist with a wide-ranging content background including tech, journalism, cars and health care. After graduating with highest honors in journalism, Xuyun led a newspaper to win eight awards, helped start an award-winning film industry podcast and has written over a hundred articles about cars repair, state laws and insurance. Prior to joining Jerry, Xuyun worked as a freelance SEO consultant with a mission to create the best content that will help readers and grow organic traffic.
Annie is a content strategist at Jerry and has more than a decade of experience writing and editing digital content. Before joining Jerry, she was an assistant assigning editor at NerdWallet, where she covered loans. Previously, she worked at USAA and newspapers in Minnesota, North Dakota, California, and Texas. She holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Minnesota.
Ben Moore is a content strategist at Jerry and an auto insurance expert. He previously worked as a writer, editor and content strategist on NerdWallet’s auto insurance team for five years. His work has been published in The Associated Press, Washington Post, Chicago Sun-Times, MarketWatch, Nasdaq and Yahoo News. He also served as a NerdWallet spokesperson, with appearances on local broadcast television and quotes in Martha Stewart and Real Simple magazine.
Ben has an extensive background in digital marketing, working on affiliate and programmatic advertising campaigns for brands like Cabela’s, H&R Block and Sears. He holds a bachelors degree in marketing from Olivet Nazarene University.
Stephanie Colestock is a seasoned writer specializing in personal finance. With over 14 years of experience, she crafts insightful and accessible content on a wide range of financial topics, including insurance, credit and debt management, banking, investing, retirement planning, and household finances.
