Will Kemper raise your rates?

Like all insurance companies, Kemper can only increase your rates
upon policy renewal
Some common reasons your Kemper rate might rise include:

  • New accidents
  • New violations or tickets
  • New address
  • New vehicle on the policy
  • New driver on the policy

Remember: You must understand that it’s normal for insurance companies to make changes to the way they price their policies. Because of this, it’s not unusual to experience price shifts over time, even if your driver profile doesn’t change.

Does Kemper resolve claims fast?

Kemper’s website makes no mention of an exact timeframe for
car insurance claims
. But some Kemper policyholders report dissatisfaction with the claims process.
During the claims process, the company will investigate the claim, review the injuries or damages, and determine liability and coverage details to offer a settlement or denial.
Of our survey respondents who have a policy with Kemper, 74% report having filed a claim. Those customers rate Kemper 2.2/5 for its claims process and resolutions.
Compared to the national average rating of 3.5/5, Kemper ranks lower than many companies when it comes to claims satisfaction. Jerry ranked Kemper 11th overall when compared to the customer claims satisfaction rate for similar-sized companies.
