Jerry's
team performed a comprehensive car insurance research study. We gathered original data for 18 months, engaging with 18,000 policyholders across every state in the U.S. The study asked people about their insurance providers, including opinions on claim processing, policy expenses, overall contentment, insurance policy renewals, and more.

So, is Aspire a good insurance company?

Yes, Aspire policyholders seem generally satisfied. Aspire ranked near the top of its cohort for cost and customer satisfaction—though it ranked below average for claims handling and renewals.
The reviews we received were 95% positive. When compared to the national average of only 64% positive and 18.54% negative, that’s a pretty impressive figure.
Even though 72% of customers renewed their policy, there are a few things that Aspire does not appear to be doing very well.
The good: Aspire earned an impressive 4.8/5 overall rating from its customers, with 4.7/5 and 4.8/5 ratings for customer service and buying a policy. Customers noted:
  • Flexible payment plans and ability to set payment day
  • Helpful endorsements like stereo coverage
  • Online and mobile policy management
  • Advance cancellation notification
The other side: When it comes to claims handling, policyholders rated Aspire a paltry 1.5/5. Plus, Aspire is only available in three states: California, Michigan, and Arizona.
Aspire Advantage is not currently accredited by the BBB (Better Business Bureau).
We asked policyholders to rate this insurance provider on its affordability, claims experience, customer service, and renewal process.

Is Aspire Advantage the right insurance company for you?

Aspire Advantage may be a good option for drivers who:
  • Need coverage in California, Michigan, or Arizona
  • Want flexible payment options
  • Have violations on their records
Keep in mind that not every driver within these categories is guaranteed to find the lowest possible rates with Aspire. But if you’re classified as a
high-risk driver
and you live in one of the three states covered by Aspire, you might unlock some cost savings by going with this company.
Aspire Advantage provides car insurance including full coverage, liability coverage, uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage, and personal injury protection (PIP) coverage. Although they don't provide other forms of insurance—such as renters or home insurance—Aspire Advantage does offer convenient payment choices like phone-based payments or monthly EFT.

Is Aspire Advantage car insurance expensive?

The majority of Aspire customers we surveyed were very happy with the cost of their policy.
In our survey, 30% of the reviews mentioned cost—and 85% of those mentions were positive. That’s a lot of satisfied customers!
Furthermore, policyholders gave Aspire an impressive 4.7/5 average rating on cost. The national average figure is just 3.8/5, so it’s safe to say that Aspire customers are happier than the average driver with their premiums.
Overall, we find that Aspire offers affordable rates to specific driver profiles in California, Michigan, and Arizona. Take a look at how Aspire Advantage compared to other companies in Jerry’s study:

Keep in mind: Car insurance rates are tailored to each individual. Your quote will be different from someone else’s quote. Like other insurance providers, Aspire Advantage
calculates insurance premiums
by taking into account:
California and Michigan forbid the use of credit scores in determining car insurance rates. While insurance companies within the same state might have distinct models for determining insurance costs, we can identify certain shared trends. Here's a typical pricing structure for Aspire Advantage:

Check out how real Jerry users rated Aspire Advantage based on cost below:

Will Aspire raise your rates?

Like all insurance companies, Aspire Advantage can only increase your rates
upon renewal
Here are some of the factors that might trigger a rate increase from Aspire:
  • You received a recent ticket or violation
  • You were in a recent accident
  • You changed your address
  • You added a new vehicle to your policy
  • You added a new driver to your policy
  • Prices went up due to inflation
Despite rating the renewal process with an average 3.1/5 score, 71.5% of Aspire customers renewed their policies.

Does Aspire Advantage resolve claims fast?

Aspire offers 24/7 claims reporting but many policyholders were unhappy with the process, rating it 1.5/5.
Aspire’s claims processing rating puts it at the lower end of its cohort when compared with similar companies. This matters a lot because working with an adjuster in the claims-handling process can be incredibly stressful.
The national average rating for car insurance claims handling is 3.5/5. It seems that Aspire could stand to improve its claims processing to measure up to its competitors.

Aspire car insurance discounts

Aspire does not offer any bundling discounts because they only sell car insurance. That said, there are plenty of other
car insurance discounts
on offer:
  • Good driver discount: Drivers who have held a license for three consecutive years and have received no recent traffic violations can earn a cheaper premium.
  • Multi-vehicle: If you insure more than one vehicle with Aspire, you can get a cheaper rate.
  • Mature driver: Drivers older than 55 can complete a state-approved driver safety course and get a discount, so long as they are the primary driver on their policy.
  • Alcohol education awareness: Complete a state-approved alcohol educational awareness program and Aspire will hand over a discount.
There may be a discount for anti-theft devices, too.
Discounts can change at any time: To stay up-to-date with the most current and comprehensive information regarding Aspire Advantage's discounts, check with an Aspire insurance broker near you.

Aspire coverage options

Aspire offers two different insurance coverage packages: Savings and Advantage.
Aspire offers the
most common types of insurance
that meet the minimum coverage requirements in California, Michigan, and Arizona. Be aware that Aspire does not allow policyholders to increase bodily injury coverage beyond that state minimum.
Here are some of the core coverages offered by Aspire:
  • Liability insurance
    : Drivers can buy
    bodily injury liability
    and
    property damage liability coverage
as required by their state to cover claims for other parties in at-fault car accidents.
  • Uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage:
If the other driver's insurance can't pay enough to help you after a car crash, UM/UIM steps in to help with paying for your medical bills and fixing your car.
  • Comprehensive coverage:
If your car gets stolen or damaged by things like fire, bad weather, or people, comprehensive coverage kicks in after you’ve paid the deductible.
  • Collision coverage:
Collision insurance helps pay to fix your car when it's been damaged in a crash, such as a multi-car accident, a guardrail scrape, or a rollover.
  • Personal injury protection (PIP):
This is required in no-fault states. It helps pay for things like doctor bills, lost income, and other costs related to your health and the health of the people in your car if you're in a car accident.
Aspire offers more options for drivers who prefer extra coverage or have special circumstances:
  • Named non-owner coverage
endorsement: For individuals who do not own a vehicle, this option offers liability coverage for instances when you have to drive.
  • Stereo/sound system insurance
: This is an optional, extra coverage that applies to permanently installed OEM sound systems.
  • Utility trailer insurance: If your vehicle is insured with Aspire, you can buy liability coverage for your trailer, too.
  • Rental reimbursement
: If your car is undrivable following a covered accident, you may need a rental car to get around. Aspire General will cover either $20 or $30 a day for up to 20 or 30 days.
  • Towing and labor
: This costs an extra $5 per month. You’ll get reimbursed $50 per disablement, up to $200 max per year.

Aspire’s additional tools and services

Aspire Advantage does not offer any special usage-based programs or accident forgiveness benefits.
It does offer online and mobile app policy management, bilingual service, flexible payment plans, and a discount for participating in an approved alcohol awareness education course.
You can pay your Aspire General car insurance premium with a credit card but there will be an additional service charge.

FAQs

You can contact Aspire General insurance services 24/7 to file a claim. You can either call (855) 231-1727, email claims@agicins.com, or use the claims form on Aspire General’s website.
Aspire Advantage earned a B+ rating from AM Best. This is a credit rating that assesses the company’s financial stability and ability to pay back claims. A++ is the highest possible ranking and B+ is the lowest rating outside of the “vulnerable” range.
Aspire’s policyholders are generally satisfied with the cost and customer service. Flexible payments and online claims reporting are available but claims handling is one of the company’s main weaknesses.
Like all car insurance companies, Aspire Advantage sometimes raises car insurance rates at renewal. If you have a 6-month policy with Aspire Advantage, your rates could go up at your renewal date. In this case, you might want to request auto insurance quotes from multiple providers.
