The Ford F-150 Max Trailer Tow package is an optional add-on available on three of the 2023 Ford F-150 trims that add significant strength to the pickup’s towing capacity.
The Max Trailer Tow package can be added to the LARIAT, King Ranch, and Platinum trims. This top-of-the-line package only comes standard on the Limited trim, so if you want it on any other eligible trims, you will have to purchase the package.

The Max Trailer Tow package includes upgrades that improve the, you guessed it—trailer towing:

What it does
To put it simply, the Max Trailer Tow package equips your F-150 to handle even more towing weight—14,000 pounds to be exact. This is not a cosmetic package at all, as any F-150 with this package will look almost identical to the rest of the lineup, with the only slight difference found in the rear bumper.
Perfect for anyone that wants to push their F-150 to the absolute limit, the 3.55 electronic-locking differential works in the truck’s rear axle, allowing both rear wheels to turn at the same speed. This will give you added traction should you need to tow something through rough trails or unpaved roads.
Trailer Backup Assist makes it easier than ever to keep your truck and trailer lined up when you’re moving in reverse. Using the ultra-convenient rearview camera and directional knob, you will be able to seamlessly back a trailer onto any ramp or into any parking spot you desire, all without the need for a second set of eyes guiding you from outside the truck.

If money is no object, opting for the best-in-class F-150 Limited might be the way to go. Not only does the Limited come with the Max Trailer Towing package, it also adds a ton of high-end standard features with its Equipment Group 900A Standard package.
If you want the Max Trailer Tow package at the lowest cost possible, you would have to add it to the F-150 LARIAT, for a total cost of just under $60,000—significantly more affordable than the nearly $85,000 price tag on the F-150 Limited.
