Our survey results say that drivers looking to renew with Mapfre were disappointed, rating their experience 1.8 out of 5.0. Mapfre’s disappointing cost and renewal scores suggest that customers initially like the quotes they receive, but don’t like how they increase at renewal.

Does Mapfre resolve claims fast?

Mapfre’s Car EZ program offers direct billing and fast turnaround times with preferred auto repair shops, but customers reported delays and miscommunications.
After you
file a car insurance claim
, your provider hands the case to an adjuster who decides whether to approve or deny it. Mapfre simplifies the process by offering drive-in appraisals, electronic photo submissions, and Car EZ. The Car EZ program guarantees direct billing and a 24-hour response rate from preferred shops who’ll also coordinate a rental car for you.
Unfortunately, it didn’t help the Mapfre customers who gave the company 1.5 points out of 5.0 for claims efficiency and overall satisfaction. Mapfre’s confusing website—which lists different phone numbers for every state, policy number, and claims type—could be to blame.
The average claims satisfaction index for every company we surveyed is 3.54. Mapfre came in 11th place, suggesting many insurance companies of a similar size are struggling to keep up with the volume of claims received.
