What is the USAA good student discount?
My father is in the military, so we do most of our banking and insurance through USAA. I’m a freshman in college, but I need to get a car to go to work and class. Does USAA offer a good student discount?

If you want to save money on your car insurance to go to class and to work,
USAA
offers a good student discount. As long as you’re between the ages of 16 and 24 and you maintain a B-average or 3.0 GPA or higher, you qualify for this car insurance discount
.However, you need to apply for this discount to receive it. It also doesn’t renew annually, so you need to reapply each year until you reach age 25 or you graduate from college. You can renew in several ways:

- Fax your application to 1-800-531-8877
- Take your application to your local USAA branch or mail it
