“Your car insurance policy may cover tree damage. However, the
type of coverage
you have will determine if you’re covered.
You need
comprehensive insurance
on your car insurance policy to cover the tree damage. Comprehensive insurance covers any damage that may occur from a covered peril. Common coverages include:
  • Hail
  • Windstorm
  • Vandalism
  • Theft
  • Broken glass
  • Flood
  • Contact with animal
As the tree likely fell due to weather or a similar cause, you should submit a claim to your insurance company if you have comprehensive coverage.
However, you would still be subject to your deductible. If the damage from the tree is less than your deductible, you wouldn’t be able to submit a claim. If it exceeds your deductible, your insurance would cover the remaining amount after you paid it.
Following your claim, you may notice an increase in your car insurance rates during your next policy renewal. In this case, you should check out the

app. Compare quotes from over 40 different insurers and find the best comprehensive policy that can cover you during the next windstorm or act of God.”
