Does the 2012 Hyundai Elantra have Bluetooth?
I got into my friend’s car the other day and he said he’d never tried to connect to Bluetooth. I figured pretty much all cars made after 2010 had Bluetooth. Does the 2012 Hyundai Elantra have Bluetooth?

You’re right! Many cars produced after 2009 have Bluetooth capabilities. However, sometimes this feature was reserved for higher trim levels (at a higher price).
The 2012 Elantra has Bluetooth as a standard feature, so your friend should be able to connect to his car and play music or do hands-free phone calls. Here’s how:
- Look for a Bluetooth or Phone button on the center console near the infotainment screen.
- Make sure the phone’s Bluetooth is turned on.
- Now, start the pairing process.
- The Elantra should appear in the list of available devices on your friend’s phone.
- Tap to connect.
- You might have to enter a code or PIN to confirm the connection.
If you can’t get it to work, you might tell your friend to reach out to a Hyundai dealership. Sometimes the firmware or software becomes outdated, preventing Bluetooth from functioning. This is usually an easy fix.
