How do I connect Bluetooth to a Ford Ranger?

I have a Ford Ranger and I’m still learning how to set up all the features. I’m going to try connecting my phone next. How do I connect my phone using Bluetooth?

It’s great that you’re getting to know your Ranger! To connect Bluetooth to a
Ford Ranger
, you’ll use your vehicle’s SYNC touchscreen to select your phone and pair it. Here are the steps:
  • Go to “Settings” in the bottom right hand corner
  • Tap on “Bluetooth”
  • Make sure the Bluetooth slider is activated
  • Select “Add device”
  • On your phone, you should be able to find “Ford Ranger” on the Bluetooth list. Tap it and follow the audio instructions from the SYNC display. You may have to confirm that the PINs on both devices match
  • Your phone should now be paired with your Ranger’s SYNC system
Depending on what year of Ranger and which version of the SYNC infotainment system you have, the directions may be slightly different. If your Ranger does not have a touchscreen option, reference your owner’s manual for your next steps.
Some models of the Ford Ranger require SYNC upgrades for certain features. If your Bluetooth connection doesn’t have audio streaming, navigation, or other features, you can call your
Ford
dealership for upgrade options.
