How much does Honda Accord Sport car insurance cost?

State minimum auto insurance costs the average Honda Accord Sport driver about $108 per month, while a full coverage insurance policy costs $198 per month. In contrast to Honda Accord models, the Accord Sport costs 11% more money to insure.
But average rates don’t really matter when it comes to auto insurance. Different factors—like driver age, address, credit score, and driving history, to name a few—play a large role in deciding your insurance premiums. Your Honda Accord Sport is just a small piece of the puzzle.

Compare the cheapest Honda Accord Sport car insurance quotes

Car insurance premiums can get really complicated, but comparing them is pretty simple. Jerry is a trusted insurance agent offering free car insurance quotes and comparisons.

The national
average rate
can be helpful, but you should allocate more time to looking at
personalized car insurance quotes
. It’s the best way to see how high your auto insurance rates will be.
For example, let’s imagine two drivers each own a Honda Accord Sport. One is 18 and the other is 30, but in all other ways, they’re pretty much identical. The 18-year-old will still pay a much higher rate than the 30-year-old.

The best car insurance companies for Honda Accord Sport owners

If the best car insurance provider is also the cheapest, in your opinion, Jerry has some disappointing news. Our insurance shopping survey—the largest of its kind in the nation—shows that auto insurance quotes depend more on individual driver factors than your choice of insurer or car.
In fact, depending on your age, address, driving record, deductibles, and more, two companies could offer you significantly different rates. Comparing quotes is the best way to find the lowest rate for your Honda Accord Sport.
As for other factors, like claims handling and customer service, Jerry’s got you covered.
Our survey also asked American policyholders what they thought of their providers, and the results show the strengths and weaknesses of
the best car insurance companies
in the country. GEICO, State Farm, USAA, and Liberty Mutual all made it into Jerry’s survey.
Take a look at the table below for a snapshot of scores relating to policy costs, customer service, claims handling, and overall quality.

How'd we get these scores?

Jerry's experts conducted one of the largest car insurance surveys in the United States. We surveyed 15,000 policyholders, in all 50 states, over the span of 18 months. These policyholders hold insurance policies with 87 different insurance companies. We surveyed policyholders to gauge their satisfaction with their insurance carriers in: policy cost, customer service, buying and renewal experience, as well as claim experience. These scores were all reported by real customers of the insurance companies.

How much car insurance do you need for a Honda Accord Sport?

Choosing
minimum coverage insurance
gives you only the coverage legally required to drive and nothing more. It typically includes just liability coverage, which covers any bodily injuries or property damages you cause while driving.
Most experts recommend
full coverage insurance
, which provides financial protection for your vehicle. The included collision and comprehensive coverage can help repair or replace your car regardless of whether you back into a tree or lose it in a flood.

Honda Accord Sport insurance cost by model year

Depending on when your car was manufactured—a.k.a. its model year—the cost of insuring the Honda Accord Sport can go up or down. New cars are more expensive to insure because they have higher cash values as a result of their newer technology. Older cars have the best rates because they cost less to replace.

2023 Honda Accord Sport car insurance quotes

Generally, you’ll pay more to insure a 2023 Honda Accord Sport than an older model.

Just as car insurance companies incorporate a number of driver rating factors into their calculations, they also have a list of vehicle rating factors to consider. Your vehicle’s MSRP, trim level, model year, theft rates, and cost of repairs are just a few of the things they look at while deciding your premiums.
As far as insurance providers are concerned, a vehicle’s safety ratings are some of its best assets. From airbags to rear view cameras, here are some of the best safety features of the Honda Accord Sport according to the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) and the National Highway and Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA):

Methodology

The Insurance Research Team analyzes insurance products and services to drive insights and help consumers make informed purchase decisions.
Insurance research: We analyzed over 25 million car insurance quotes; conducted the largest insurance shopping survey (over 15,000 customers surveyed and 85 carriers reviewed in the past 18 months).
We surveyed insurance policyholders for their experience with their insurers in the following areas: (1) insurance cost (2) customer service (3) insurance buying experience (4) insurance renewal experience (5) claim experience. In addition, we asked people what they like about their insurers and what areas in which their insurers could improve. The driver characteristics used in calculating average rates for auto insurance include: single driver, single car, currently insured, clean driving record.
