What is the USAA good driver discount?
I have car insurance through USAA, and it’s almost time to renew my policy. I didn’t qualify for any discounts when I signed up previously, but what is the good driver discount? Do I qualify for it if I haven’t had any accidents on my record?

USAA’s
good driver discount is given to drivers who have maintained a good driving record for at least five years. USAA doesn’t specify the amount that will be deducted from your premium, as it varies based on your state. If you don’t qualify for the USAA good driver discount, there are some other options you may be eligible for:
- Defensive driver: Complete a state-approved defensive driving course
- Multi-car: Insure more than two cars at the same address under the same policy
- Multi-policy: Combine auto with home, RV, tenant, etc.
- New vehicle: Drive a vehicle less than three years old
- Anti-theft: Drive a vehicle equipped with anti-theft devices or features
