What is Mazda Radar Cruise Control with Stop & Go?

I just got a new Mazda, and they told me one of the features it has is Mazda Radar Cruise Control with the Stop & Go function. I feel silly, but I’m honestly not sure what that is. What does Mazda Radar Cruise Control with Stop & Go do?

Mazda
Radar Cruise Control (MRCC) with Stop & Go is an adaptive cruise control feature that analyzes the speed and distance of the vehicle ahead of you and adjusts your speed accordingly. It does this with radar technology to maintain a safe (preset) distance between you and the car in front of you.
Mazda Radar Cruise Control with Stop & Go does work in stop-and-go traffic, and it will bring your car to a complete halt if the car in front of you stops. When it’s time to go, you just need to tap on the accelerator and the cruise control will reengage. Pretty neat!
