How far can a Ford Fusion go on empty?

I’m the person who always leaves almost nothing in the gas tank, which doesn’t exactly come in handy when I’m in a hurry to be somewhere. While I’m going to try to get better about filling the tank, I just want to know how much time I have. How far does a Ford Fusion go after the gas light comes on?

The Ford Fusion can usually go about 35 miles after the needle points to empty. However, Fusion Hybrid models have been known to go as far as 80 miles. In either case, this should be plenty of mileage to get you to the nearest gas station.
If you’re a bit absentminded when it comes to refueling,
towing and labor coverage
is a no-brainer—in the opposite sense. This coverage pairs with your existing car insurance coverage and functions just like roadside assistance—which can get you the gas you need if you run out.
