What is GEICO’s autopay discount?
I just graduated from Syracuse University (Go, Orange!) and I’m looking for ways to save money on my car insurance. Does GEICO offer an autopay discount? What do I need to do to get it?

First off, congratulations on graduating from college!
Unfortunately, there is no
GEICO
autopay discount. While GEICO will allow you to sign up for automatic billing, they do not incentivize it with a discount.However, many other companies do, including
Progressive
and Farmers
. Insurance providers like drivers who sign up for automatic payments because they can be more certain that you will pay your bill on time.If you still decide to go with GEICO, the company offers many other discounts. Examples include the following:
- Safe driving discount
- Driver’s education discount
- Good student discount (if you ever decide to go back for a graduate degree)
