How can I get free car insurance? My buddy just bought a used car. He said he got a week of free insurance with Progressive. I am with Progressive and never got that.

Progressive
and purchase another car, you have a seven-day grace period to get the vehicle added to the policy.If an accident happened during this time frame, insurance would cover the car with the same limits currently on the policy.
The grace period is a benefit offered to all Progressive customers, so you aren’t missing out on anything!
Insurance companies are heavily regulated by their state’s insurance commissioners. As a result, most insurers can’t give anything away for free.
There are some states like New Jersey that have a zero-tolerance for gift giving. Many states can offer gifts as long as they have no real monetary value like pencils or keychains, while others allow gifts up to $50 like promotional hats and t-shirts.
But these are things that have to be offered to all of their customers in a fair manner.
