Is there a way to get free insurance?

How can I get free car insurance? My buddy just bought a used car. He said he got a week of free insurance with Progressive. I am with Progressive and never got that.

If an accident happened during this time frame, insurance would cover the car with the same limits currently on the policy.

Insurance companies are heavily regulated by their state’s insurance commissioners. As a result, most insurers can’t give anything away for free.

But these are things that have to be offered to all of their customers in a fair manner.
