How long does impaired driving stay on your record in Utah?

I made a big mistake and was charged with impaired driving last year. I can’t afford my insurance until it’s removed from my record. How long will an impaired driving offense remain on my driving record in Utah?

Impaired driving typically stays on your
Utah driving record
for 10 years.
If you don’t want to wait 10 years, you can try to get it expunged. Begin the process by filing a petition with the district court where you were convicted of the charge.
If successful, DUI expungement means your court records will be sealed, and the impaired driving or DUI charge will not appear on your record.
To qualify, you must start by getting a Certificate of Eligibility for Expungement. This certificate is issued by the Utah State Bureau of Criminal Identification. Keep in mind that this can be a long process.
No matter your driving record, you can save money on
Utah car insurance costs
by shopping around for a better-priced policy on the
Jerry
app.
