Where is the OBD port on a 1995 Honda Civic?

I’ve got an old Honda that I’ve been meaning to fix up. I have an OBD reader, but I can’t for the life of me find the port! Can you tell me where the OBD port is on a 1995 Honda Civic?

Most cars have the OBD port on the driver’s side, but older cars can vary a bit. While the shape of the OBD port on a 1995
Honda Civic
may be standard for a modern scanner, the location is sadly not!
The 1995 Honda Civic OBD port location is on the passenger’s side, tucked way back on the center console. It’s actually past the area where the plastic trim ends, so look hard (and maybe grab a flashlight).
Once you’ve found it, you can see what
car OBD codes
that old Civic might be generating and get started on those

.
Don’t be scared to ask for help from your local mechanic if you feel like you need to remove some interior trim to get to your 1995 Civic’s OBD port. It may be worth avoiding potential damage so there’s less work for you to do in the long run!
