How do you reset the oil life on a Honda Accord from 2017?

I haven’t been able to reset the oil life in my Honda despite several attempts. What’s the process of resetting the light that reminds me to get an oil change?

No worries—I can help you with that! Follow these steps to reset the oil life in your
Honda Accord

  • Turn the ignition to RUN, which is one position before START.
  • Press the up/down buttons until you reach Vehicle Settings.
  • Press the SELECT/RESET button.
  • Press the up/down buttons until you reach Maintenance Reset.
  • Press the SELECT/RESET button again. You should see the oil life reset mode displayed on the multi-information display.
  • Use the up/down buttons to select Reset.
  • Press the SELECT/RESET button. You should see your oil life return to 100%.
If this doesn’t work, it might be time to
take your car to a mechanic
. Your oil indicator could be warning you of a more serious problem with your engine, so it’s a good idea to get it checked out as soon as possible.
