How do you renew a driver’s license in Nebraska?

Will I have to retake any tests to renew my driver’s license in Nebraska? This is my first time renewing my license and I’m nervous about it.

In
Nebraska
, you can renew your driver’s license online or in person at your local DMV office. You won’t need to retake any tests unless:
  • Your license has been expired for more than a year—in this case, you’ll need to retake all the license tests to get a new one.
  • You are 72 years of age or older, in which case you will be required to retake the vision test
  • You are under investigation for dangerous driving
  • Your doctor has asked for a vision test
If you need to retake tests for any reason, you’ll have to renew your license in person at the nearest DMV location. You’ll also need to renew in person if any of your personal information (physical description, address, name, etc) has changed.
