When to renew your driver’s license in Nebraska

It’s best to complete the process before the expiration date of your driver’s license. It’s in the top right corner of your license, labeled “EXP.”
Nebraska driver’s licenses
expire every five years on the individual’s birthday, but if you’re under 21, your license will expire on your 21st birthday.
You should receive a renewal notice postcard from the State Department of Motor Vehicles 30 days before the expiration date of your current driver’s license. If you want to get the ball rolling yourself, know that individuals 21 and over may renew up to 90 days before their birthday, while those under 21 may apply for renewal up to 60 days prior to turning 21.
Of course, if you haven’t updated your address with the Nebraska Driver Licensing Services (i.e., it doesn’t match the address on your license), you probably won’t receive the renewal notice. It’s best to keep things up to date with your local DMV.

Renew your license online

If your name and physical description have not changed since your last renewal, and your license expires before you turn 72 years old, you’re eligible to
