Does Progressive cover pothole damage?
I messed up my alignment hitting a pothole that I couldn't avoid on a busy street. Can I make a claim with Progressive?
“Yes, you can submit a claim with Progressive if you have the correct coverage on your policy.
Collision coverage typically covers pothole damage. That said, you’ll need to assess the damage and your deductible to determine whether you could submit a claim.
If you have a high deductible, you may want to weigh the cost of repairs against it. If the cost of repairs is less than your deductible, you can’t submit a claim. If the cost of repairs is more than your deductible, you’ll want to determine if it’s worth a possible rate increase.
Should you decide to submit a claim to Progressive and your rate increases, shop around. Insurer’s rates vary. You may be able to find a lower rate elsewhere.
