The Xpeng G9 EV SUV: lightning fast on the charger and on the road, too
What sort of powertrain options does the Xpeng G9 offer?
Like most EVs, the Xpeng G9 is more powerful than you might expect, especially for a car that’s capped at 124 mph for a top speed. And of course like other EVs, it has the option for a dual motor set-up (more on that in a second).
The single motor option is still impressive, though; Chinese drivers will enjoy 313 hp. The dual motor powertrain reigns king, though, with 543 hp and 528 lb-ft of torque.
What other aspects of the Xpeng G9 are worth noting?
With an expected price tag of around $75,000 USD, Xpeng certainly didn’t skimp on luxury features. The Xpeng G9 has 23.3 cubic feet of cargo space, double-row heated seats, and a total of three infotainment screens measuring almost 15 inches across.
Even more impressive is a speaker system that works synchronously with screens, lights, seat massage functions, and even different scents. The Xpeng G9 also comes with lidar, and has 31 sensors and cameras to offer first-class driver-assist features and detection guidance.
