Kia EV6 hits the market with plenty of power
The new compact crossover averages over a 300-mile charge. It comes in almost equivalent to a compact car's mile per gallon range, depending on the model. It even comes with a charging port for your electric bike or portable wine cooler when you are out and about, say camping or picnicking.
The EV6 is one of the boldest and roomiest on the market so far. Pair that with the new deal with EA and you have a recipe for converting holdouts to the new EV market. Kia will soon up their game with the release of their powerful GT model.
Kia EV6 and Electrify America: an electrifying deal!
What could be better than having more power, contributing to a better environment, and having a large interior? There will be no charge for electricity!
The agreement between Electrify America and Kia encourages the usage of their charging stations. For the first three years that you own the 2022 Kia EV6, you may charge your vehicle at any Electrify America charging station and enjoy up to 1,000 kWh of charging. Estimates have that coming out to around 13 free chargers from 0-60% battery.
EA has stated that they have the largest EV charging network in the nation, however, they aren't the only ones to claim this. Tesla also claims they have the largest network. Neither claim is confirmed by the government, however. Both networks are large enough that an incentive like this makes it worth purchasing.
The Electrify America deal isn't the only incentive program!
EA states that they have made the same deal with at least 15 other EV companies. But what else could be offered to gain more EV purchasers? The government already offers several versions of tax credits for the purchase of an EV.
You may be eligible for tax credits based on the type of your car, as well as a credit for the installation of an EV charging station in your house. The sort of credits and incentives you may be eligible for based on your state of residence will be determined by the purchase you made in the previous year. You'll be able to see these credits on your yearly tax return.
