The time it takes to charge your 2022 Kia EV6 depends on its battery size and the type of charger you use: a Level 1, Level 2, or DC Fast Charger.
The Kia EV6 is offered in two battery sizes: a 58.0 kWh and a 77.4 kWh pack. The base model, Light RWD, is the only trim level that comes with a smaller battery and has an EPA-rated driving range of 232 miles. All other trim levels come with the larger, long-range battery, and have a driving range of up to 310 miles.
The secret to the Kia EV6s fast-charging capabilities is due to its 800-volt architecture. Most automakers use a 400-volt system.
This 800-volt system allows the EV6 to charge at a rate of up to 350 kW, which is quicker than BMW, Mercedes-Benz, and Tesla. It’s the fastest of the fast.

When hooked up to an 11-kilowatt Level 2 charger, the Kia EV6’s battery can be charged from 10 to 100% in about seven hours. And when hooked up to a 3 kilowatt Level 1 charger, you’re looking at a charge time of about 26 hours.

At-home charging speeds for a 2022 Kia EV6
The most basic method for charging your 2022 Kia EV6 is through a wall charger at your home. While convenient, this is the slowest method to recharge your EV6.
A standard outlet—or three-prong, 120-volt plug, known in the EV world as a Level 1 charger—adds about nine miles of range per hour and takes about 34 hours to completely recharge your EV6’s battery. Since the charging time is so long, this method is best reserved for quick top-ups.

Keep in mind that, unlike other EVs, a charging cable is not included in your purchase of a 2022 Kia EV6. You will have to buy it separately. You may be able to buy a Level 1 or Level 2 (240-volt) charging cable as an add-on at the dealership where you purchase your Kia, or else you can purchase one from a trusted online seller.
