The 2022
Jaguar
I-Pace improved on the car's range and now drivers can expect to get 253 miles out of a single charge. Although this isn’t the highest mark among electric cars, it should be enough for everyday use.
Although many drivers prefer hybrids, pure electric vehicles are continuing to grow in popularity. Electric vehicles have plenty of benefits, not the least of which is the amount their owners save on gas, but they do tend to be limited by their range.
That’s where

2022 Jaguar I-Pace range

The 2022 Jaguar I-Pace has an EPA-estimated 253-mile range, which is a serious improvement from the 234-mile range that the 2021 model could offer.
Jaguar claims
that the car can get an impressive 292 miles per charge, closing in on the leading
Model Y
’s 330-mile range.
But what can you do with 253 miles? Well, you probably can’t go on a road trip, at least not without carefully planning out frequent charging stations along the way. But if you’re buying an electric vehicle, that’s probably not what you had in mind for it.
What the Jaguar I-Pace is perfect for is the little things such as
errands and commuting
. Even if you commute a little over 40 miles every day, a single charge of the Jaguar I-Pace should be enough.

2022 Jaguar I-Pace charging time and fuel economy

Outside of an electric vehicle’s range, the most important factor when comparing them is their charging time. Most EVs have two estimated charging times: one from fast-charging stations specially made for EVs and the other from a home outlet, like your garage.
Thanks to the 2022 I-Pace’s new 11.0-kW charger, it should take under nine hours to recharge your car from the comfort of your home. This means that you can easily plug your Jaguar in before you go to bed and have it ready to go the next day.
If you want to make the trip to a DC fast-charging port, it should only take around 40 minutes to get up to 80% battery life. All in all, the I-Pace’s charging times are quite competitive when compared to other EVs.
As you might expect, the Jaguar I-Pace excels when it comes to fuel efficiency. The 2022’s 80 combined MPGe is a step up from the 76 MPGe it earned the year before and miles ahead of non-EVs on the road.
Although there are plenty of pure electric cars with a higher MPGe, the Jaguar’s is just fine when you consider its size.

How does the Jaguar I-Pace compare to its competitors?

The electric vehicle market is still relatively small, but it's hard to ignore how much it has grown in the past couple of years. Although this level of competition is an obvious benefit for buyers, it does make it hard for an EV like the I-Pace to stand out.
Here is a look at how the I-Pace compares to some other pure-electric cars:

FAQ

The Jaguar I-Pace has a starting price of just under $70,000, but that’s just for the base trim without any extra features. A luxury car with an upscale interior? It’s no surprise that the I-Pace is such an expensive electric car.
