Even though the details are not yet confirmed for the 2024 Dodge Challenger eMuscle, sources like
Car and Driver
are already abuzz with exciting estimates and predictions for the muscle car. From the released teasers, the concept car appears similar in design to the Chargers and Challengers of the 1960s and 1970s. The eMuscle marks the return of the Fratzog emblem, slated to flaunt a futuristic three-dimensional design and LED lighting.
Watchers believe we might see the eMuscle offered in a two- or four-door body style, with an AWD layout being likely. It has also been posited that the car will come with two electric motors that could total close to 900 horsepower and the ability to go from zero to 60 mph in two seconds.
While the eMuscle’s true specs are yet to be released, CEO Tim Kuniskis has made one thing clear: the new electric vehicle (EV) will “look like a Dodge, sound like a Dodge, drive like a Dodge, and perform like a Dodge.”

Dodge’s electric future
Dodge’s electric future is bright—the muscle car manufacturer is finally confronting the limits of gas-powered vehicles. The race to produce an all-electric muscle car began in 2021 after Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) merged with PSA Group to become Stellantis.
If you’re familiar with Dodge’s image, brand, and mission, you may be wondering what possessed them to begin building electric cars. The answer? “Performance Made Us Do It.” That said, some things never change—the automaker still has plans to continue rolling out internal combustion engine models for the foreseeable future.
Dodge has announced its first EVs will be connected and digital. Stellantis and Foxconn have formed a joint venture called Mobile Drive, which will develop infotainment, telematics, and cloud services. Using over-the-air (OTA) software in Dodge EVs could enable drivers to reap immediate performance upgrades while both saving time and remaining emissions-compliant.

- Do you need a vehicle with towing capacity? If you’re holding out for Dodge’s first electric trucks and SUVs, this is a serious factor to consider. Even if they end up having impressive towing capabilities, it will likely deplete your EV’S driving range rather quickly.
