Could the Aspark Owl Outshine the Tesla Roadster?

Tesla has dominated the EV sector, but its starting to face some serious competition. The new Aspark Owl might just stand up against the lighting-fast Tesla roadster, for both speed and acceleration.

Electric vehicle
technology is constantly improving, and manufacturers are engineering EVs that are stronger, faster, and more efficient than ever before. One EV that is currently showing off is the Aspark Owl, an electric supercar that boasts stunning speed and acceleration. How does it compare to the Tesla Roadster, though?
The Aspark Owl vs. Tesla Roadster debate pits two of the fastest EVs ever made against each other.
Forbes
states that the Owl may have a slight advantage in acceleration over the Roadster, but it's close. Read on to see how Jerry could
give you the advantage
when it comes to car insurance.

How fast is the Aspark Owl?

With four electric motors and a 64 kWh battery, the Aspark Owl produces a jaw-dropping 2,012 horsepower. Aspark claims that the Owl can reach a top speed of 248 miles per hour.
That top speed puts the Aspark Owl among the ranks of the fastest cars, gas or electric, on the road, but acceleration is where the Owl truly shows its teeth. It can allegedly get from 0 to 60 mph in just 1.69 seconds. There is a slight caveat here, though, because the Owl had a one-foot rollout when it hit this time.
Regardless, this acceleration time is comparable to even the fastest hypercars on the market today. Plus, as an electric vehicle, the Aspark Owl can reach these speeds while remaining almost completely silent.

Aspark Owl vs. Tesla Roadster in performance

The Aspark Owl is not the only EV that has been gaining attention for its performance. Another notable new powerhouse EV is the Tesla Roadster, a revival of the first Tesla model. Comparing the Aspark Owl vs. Tesla Roadster showcases how both EVs have their advantages over each other.
As stated above, the Aspark Owl can get from 0 to 60 in 1.69 seconds with a one-foot rollout. Without this 12-inch head start, though, it has previously clocked in at 1.9 seconds, and it likely can do better than that. The Tesla Roadster, meanwhile, claims it can get from 0 to 60 in 1.9 seconds, meaning that the Owl may have a slight advantage.
According to
Car and Driver
, the Roadster can reach speeds greater than 250 mph, which would make it slightly faster than the Aspark Owl. However, this is another aspect where the two EVs are so similar that it's too close to definitively call one the winner.
Then there is the matter of range, which, if the numbers provided are accurate, paints a much clearer winner than the other categories.
Motor1
states that the Owl can go 280 miles on a single charge, which is completely acceptable for an EV like this. The Tesla Roadster leaves this in the dust, though, with an estimated maximum range of 620 miles, an absolutely crazy range for an EV.

Expect to pay a hefty price for either the Owl or the Roadster

It is hard to say definitively that the Aspark Owl or the Tesla Roadster is the better vehicle, as they both have their strengths. One thing they have in common, though, is that they are both expensive. However, one model is much more expensive than the other.
The Aspark Owl will have a price tag of $3.2 million, and its initial run is slated to be highly limited. Aspark plans to only produce 50 Owl vehicles.
Tesla's Roadster will be the most expensive Tesla model, but it will only be a fraction of the Owl's price. Base Roadster models will likely be priced around $200,000. Drivers who want a Roadster will have to wait, though, as it has been delayed until 2023.

There is not a clear winner in the Aspark Owl vs. Tesla Roadster debate. Two things are for certain, and those are that they are both fast and expensive. Your car insurance doesn't have to be expensive like the Owl or Roadster, though, with
