Where is the Jeep Wagoneer made?
So my firm has offered to pay for a new luxury SUV for me, but they insist on it being a domestic brand to keep costs down. Since I’m a high-flying accountant, I’ve got to keep up appearances—anything to make me look as good as, if not better than, my lawyer-neighbor with his fancy European SUV. The Jeep Wagoneer is almost completely made in
Detroit, Michigan
, save for a few optional components.In fact, you won’t even have to tell your neighbor that the Wagoneer is a Jeep, even though it technically is. The Wagoneer is seen as a premium extension of the Jeep brand, so the Wagoneer is marketed without using the Jeep name or badge.
The Wagoneer is built at the Warren Truck Assembly Plant in
Warren, Michigan
. The Warren Plant used to be known as Dodge City (another trifling detail your neighbor doesn’t need to know) as it was used to build and assemble exclusively Dodge vehicles from about 1940 until 2021, when production of the Wagonner and Grand Wagoneer began.Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer production was jump-started thanks to a $1 billion investment to retrofit the Warren Assembly Plant for this work. The Ram 1500 Rebel truck is also assembled and built at the Warren Plant.
