What are the best mile-per-gallon (mpg) ratings for pickup trucks?

I’m looking to get a new truck, and I’m really not looking for hybrids or electrics, but I don’t want to spend all my cash on gas. What are the most fuel efficient trucks out there for 2022?

Lucky for you, we’ve been doing a bit of research on this question ourselves, so we’ve already got some answers for you. Interestingly, we’ve found that the best mpg ratings for pickups in 2022 all come from Ford.
According to Kelley Blue Book, the 3 most fuel efficient pickups for 2022 are:

Hyundai Santa Cruz
 with 23 mpg, the
Ford F-150 SuperCab
 at 22 mpg, and the
Ram 1500 Quad Cab
 at 22 mpg.
