How do you reset a Honda Odyssey oil light?
How do I reset the oil light in my 1996 Honda Odyssey? The light came on the other day, but I don’t think I need an oil change yet.

The oil life indicator in your
Honda Odyssey
is meant to tell you when your oil needs a change. If it was reset after your last oil change, then it’s likely you need another one. That said, you can follow these steps to reset your Honda Odyssey oil light:- Turn on your car, but don’t start the engine.
- Push the select/reset knob until you see the Remaining Oil Life option appear on your display.
- Press and hold the select/reset knob until the oil life light starts to blink. In total, this step should take about 10 seconds.
- Press and hold the knob again for five seconds. Your oil life light should reset itself.
- Turn your car off, then on again to make sure the reset worked.
Remember, even if you don’t think you need an oil change, it’s still a good idea to have your
