How do I reboot my Tesla screen?

I love my Tesla, but this afternoon, the touchscreen wouldn’t respond to me. I’ve never had an issue like this before—I’ve heard that rebooting the screen might help, but I’m not sure how to do that. How can I reboot my Tesla screen?

I’m sorry that your
Tesla
screen is freezing. Luckily, Tesla models freeze up very rarely, but it’s still frustrating when it happens. I’m happy to say that you can reboot your Tesla screen in three easy steps. Here’s what to do:
  • Shift your car into Park.
  • Hold down both scroll buttons on the steering wheel simultaneously. When the touchscreen turns black, you can release them.
  • Wait 30 seconds. You should see the Tesla logo appear, and the touchscreen should restart after approximately 30 seconds.
Once you’ve reset your touchscreen, it might also be worth taking a moment to take a look at your current car insurance policy to make sure it’s in the same good shape as your car. If you want to easily make sure you’re getting the best deal on your Tesla’s insurance policy, check out the
