How do I open a Mini Cooper hood?
I recently got a new car and I want to get a feel for how everything works under the hood. But there’s a problem: I can’t seem to get the hood open on my own. How do I open a Mini Cooper hood?

Congratulations on your new car, that’s so exciting!
It’s a good idea to get familiar with the inner workings of your new
Mini Cooper
hood. Follow these steps to pop the hood of your new car:- Find the hood release lever located on the driver’s side dash to the left of the pedals
- Pull up on the lever once to unlock the hood, then pull it again to open it
- Insert your hand under the hood to find the safety latch
- Push on the safety latch and the hood should open
If you follow these simple directions, your Mini Cooper hood should pop right open for you!
