How big is a truck bed?

I’m starting a new moving company and will need to buy a vehicle to be able to haul furniture. I’m considering buying a moving van, but used trucks seem to be cheaper. Before I make the purchase, I want to ensure I’ll be able to fit furniture in the bed of the truck I get. How big are most truck beds?

Congratulations on your new company! A used truck may certainly be the more economical choice as you start your business.
There are three different bed sizes for pickup trucks:
  • Short beds are roughly 5 feet 8 inches long
  • Standard beds measure in at 6 feet 5 inches long
  • Long beds are** 8 feet** long
While these are the typical measurements for truck beds, the exact length may vary slightly depending on the vehicle manufacturer. If you’re looking to make the most of your truck bed’s space, opt for a long bed.
Many manufacturers produce long bed trucks, including
Chevrolet
,
GMC
, and
Ford
.
As you begin your new business venture, you’ll want to be sure your truck is protected with insurance. Look no further than the #1 rated insurance app
