Can I renew my driver's license online in Maryland?

My license is about to expire, and I need to renew it soon. I know in most states there’s an option to renew your license online, but does Maryland have that?

In some cases, yes! You can renew your
driver’s license
online in
Maryland
if your renewal notice states you’re eligible.
This renewal notice will be sent to your address and email 60 days before your license expires, so be sure the MVA has your current address on file. The notice will outline everything you need to know about renewing your license online if you qualify.
In general, the fee will cost $6 for every year your new license is valid. In most cases, you’ll renew your license for an eight-year period, so it will cost $48. If you’re renewing online, you must have a valid credit card with which to pay.
