Where is the 1997 Ford F250 OBD port location?

I’m restoring an old 1997 Ford F-250 and I’m having trouble figuring out where to plug my diagnostic scanner. Does the 1997 F-250 have an OBD port location?

This is not a well-known vehicle part on older vehicles! The 1997
Ford F250
OBD port is located above the foot pedals. Vehicles from the model year 1997 and newer come with an OBD-2 port and it’s typically located above the brake pedal.
The OBD port is a 16-pin outlet affixed to the underside of the dashboard below the steering wheel column. In order for the OBD scanner to work correctly, make sure you carefully connect all 16 pins into the socket without bending any—they’re fragile!
An OBD code reader is crucial to diagnose mechanical issues for vehicles across many generations. An OBD reader communicates with your car’s computer—known as the powertrain control module (PCM). Maintenance-related issues such as malfunctioning sensors that cause your
Check Engine Light to come on
are most easily detected by using this scanning device.
