Are self-driving cars legal in Arizona?
I’ve always loved the idea of self-driving cars. I like to think about what the future will be like and how much other stuff I can get done on road trips when the car is doing all the work. I’m just not sure if my home state of Arizona has made any laws regarding the technology. In Arizona, are self-driving cars legal?

Self-driving cars are legal in
Arizona
with no current legislation permitting or denying them at any level of jurisdiction. However, Governor Doug Ducey has enacted two executive orders pertaining directly to self-driving vehicles:- Pilot programs are to be enacted at state universities to allow the testing and design of self-driving cars. This includes the support of various agencies to promote such testing.
- A program has been ordered to ensure that Arizona stays up to date on the advancements in self-driving technology and prepares support for the adoption of self-driving vehicles.
