Yes, newer models of the Mazda CX-5 have Apple CarPlay.
First offered in the 2019 Mazda CX-5, this smartphone-friendly feature comes standard in all models manufactured after 2019. While earlier models don’t have this feature, you can still connect your phone to your Mazda via Bluetooth.

How to add Apple CarPlay to a Mazda CX-5
Apple CarPlay installation requires hardware and software updates that must be completed by a certified Mazda technician. If you have a 2014 or newer CX-5 and want Apple CarPlay installed, you’ll need to contact a Mazda service department near you to schedule an appointment.
While you’re getting Apple CarPlay installed, you can expect the most recent version of MAZDA CONNECT installed with it, along with 2.1-amp USB ports. The installation should take about two hours to complete and will cost about $199, not including the cost of labor. For an accurate pricing estimate, contact your local service department.

Once Apple CarPlay is installed, it’s pretty simple to get connected. Keep in mind that to enjoy Apple CarPlay, you will need an iPhone 5 or above with the latest iOS and Siri will need to be enabled.
To enable Apple CarPlay, ensure your car is in PARK with the parking brake engaged. Using a USB cord or Apple Lightning cable, connect your smartphone to the USB port labeled with the smartphone icon. Your Mazda will detect your connected device and Apple CarPlay will start automatically.
