1. Acura MDX

Starting price: $48,000 to $72,050
Selling points: Spacious interior
Weak spot: Mid-tier luxury
Ready to start this off with a bang? The
Acura MDX
has 95 cubic feet of maximum cargo capacity, which is the most you’ll find on this list. Partner this with versatile seating configurations, and this 7-person SUV is up for any task. However, while the Acura MDX is more functional, the Infiniti QX60 is commonly thought to be more luxurious.

2. Audi Q5

Starting price: $43,300 to $45,800
Selling points: Does a lot of things right
Weak spot: Only five seats
As a five-seater, the
Audi Q5
doesn't have the passenger capacity of the Infiniti QX60. But if this is a negotiable specification, then the Q5 is an excellent overall choice—it's a perfect blend of luxury, sport, and technology.
Let’s check out some highlights. A punchy 261-horsepower 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine helps the Q5 accelerate from zero to 60 miles per hour in a respectable 5.7 seconds. The pure black leather interior is classy and to the point. And the 12.3-inch Audi virtual cockpit replaces the traditional analog view behind the steering wheel.
Simply put, there’s much to be excited about regarding the Q5 if you can compromise on the minimal cargo/passenger space.

3. Cadillac XT6

Starting price: $48,595 to $58,295
Selling points: Iconic branding
Weak spot: Doesn’t live up to the hype
One thing is for sure, the XT6 benefits from owning the iconic and notoriously luxurious
Cadillac
nameplate. But unfortunately, it doesn’t really live up to the brand’s impressive reputation.
The interior materials feel generic, and even the upgraded 3.6-liter V6 engine takes around seven seconds to achieve 60 mph (for reference, the base engine takes closer to 10 seconds).
All in all, you may be a little underwhelmed by the XT6 at its current MSRP.

4. Lexus NX

Starting price: $38,350 to $49,400
Selling points: Variety of engine options
Weak spot: Not anything special—just traditional leather luxury
One whiff of the NuLuxe leather upholstery and you know you’re in a
Lexus NX
. The classic feel will please the traditionalist, but innovative features (like the new and improved infotainment system) might entice new buyers.
The NX also offers four engine options, including a plug-in hybrid that can achieve 84 MPGe and 36 miles of all-electric range. Considering the Infiniti QX60 doesn’t have a PHEV variant (let alone any engine optionality), having the choice in itself is a competitive advantage.

5. Lincoln Corsair

Starting price: $36,580 to $43,710
Selling points: PHEV variant and cheapest starting price
Weak spot: Grandpa’s cheap chariot (but don’t tell him that)
Reasonably priced, a well-insulated cabin area, conservative yet classy looks, and an uninspiring driving experience—all things that describe the
Lincoln Corsair
While some of these characteristics would be classified as unfavorable for other luxury SUVs, Lincoln is simply appealing to their target market. The average age of ownership is over 60, so there’s no need to be on the cutting edge of performance, technology, and luxury.
Although contrary to this stereotype, the Corsair does offer an innovative 78 MPGe plug-in hybrid variant, which might attract new, younger buyers.

6. Mercedes-Benz GLS

Starting price: $77,850 to $101,25
Selling points: Beauty and brawn
Weak spot: Requires deep pockets to buy and maintain
The Mercedes-Benz GLS is available in two behemoth engine options: a 362-horsepower 3.0-liter Turbo Inline-6 or a 483-horsepower 4.0-liter Twin-Turbo V8.
Partner this power with Mercedes' 4MATIC all-wheel-drive system, and the GLS can outwork most of the competition on this list. In fact, when fully equipped, it can tow upwards of 7,700 pounds!
And don’t get us wrong, the GLS isn’t all brawn—it has beauty too! The genuine leather seats are seriously some of the comfiest you’ll ever sit in.
So what’s the downside? Well, two things: 1) its size brings its fuel efficiency down to 20 combined mpg, which is low for its class, and 2) it’s one of the more expensive options

7. Tesla Model Y

Starting price: $65,990 to $69,990
Selling points: Electrified efficiency
Weak spot: Third row underdelivers
Since the
Tesla Model Y
can now be configured to fit seven passengers, it has begun to steal market share from the Infiniti QX60 and other luxury three-row SUVs that use seating capacity as a selling point. However, passengers do complain that the third row is a little cramped, so maybe it’s more of a marketing grab than a practical option.
Regardless, it’s hard to argue with the overall value proposition of the Model Y’s 111 to 122 MPGe and 330 miles of all-electric range—especially compared to the QX60, which doesn’t even offer a hybrid variant.

8. Volvo XC90

Starting price: $50,900 to $65,100
Selling points: Simple is sexy
Weak spot: Expensive upgrades
Simple never goes out of style. There’s something incredibly satisfying about the uncluttered nature of the
Volvo XC90
’s dashboard and cabin. Combine this simple style with plush leather upholstery and warm color choices, and you get an undeniably top-tier interior in the luxury mid-size SUV segment.
The XC90 also has three available powertrains, all-wheel-drive capability, and optional air suspension to accompany its luxury aesthetics. While the ability to customize one’s personal driving experience is a major perk, the upper-performance trims can get pricey.

This app is great, but the customer service is even better! Not to mention convenient! My husband and I got the lowest rate (much lower than the rates I was finding online through my own searches), quickly, and pretty much all through text message! Thank you so much for a hassle free experience👍
