Does the 2010 Kia Forte have Bluetooth?

My dad is passing down his old Kia Forte to me and I’m super excited! However, I’m not sure how I can play music in it. Does the 2010 Kia Forte have Bluetooth?

A car hand-me-down may be one of the best you could get! The 2010 Kia Forte has Bluetooth standard in the Forte EX and Forte SX trims. However, it’s only capable of Bluetooth phone calls—not Bluetooth audio streaming.
That said, you can still easily connect your device to your Kia through a USB cable to play music from your phone. If you have a Kia Forte LX that isn’t Bluetooth equipped at all, you can also buy an aftermarket Bluetooth speaker to help you make hands-free calls and even stream without the hassle of a cord.
If you do have a Bluetooth-capable Forte and you’re interested in making phone calls, you can pair your phone by doing the following:
  • On your device, make sure Bluetooth is on and enabled
  • On your Kia’s radio console, hit the “Setup” button
  • Choose “Phone” with the tuner dial, then “Pair”
  • Your Kia’s device name and passkey will show up on your radio screen
  • Select this device name from your phone’s list of available devices, then enter the passkey
  • Your Kia’s radio screen will confirm that the pairing is complete
Even though your Forte is set up for Bluetooth, you should keep a close eye on the road while chatting. Hands-free features can still earn you a distracted driving ticket, which can increase your Kia Forte insurance costs significantly!
