What’s the Chevrolet Camaro’s fuel efficiency, on average?

I’m thinking about buying a Camaro, but with gas prices as crazy as they are, I’m not sure if it’s a good idea. How many MPG does the Camaro get, and how can I improve the Chevrolet Camaro fuel efficiency if I buy one?

A modern
Chevrolet Camaro
fuel efficiency will average 22 MPG city and 30 MPG highway. That’s significantly better than, say, a gas-guzzling 1972 Camaro that gets 10 MPG on a good day. But it’s not terrible compared with most modern cars. A
Toyota Camry
, for instance, averages around 28 MPG city and 39 MPG highway.
Of course, that’s how fuel is measured when you’re driving the speed limit. Taking your Camaro for a good ‘ole fashioned all-American burn? That’s going to make your Camaro thirsty. But you’re a responsible, safe driver who’d never do anything like that … right?
To make sure your Camaro is sipping as little fuel as possible, avoid hard acceleration, stay in higher gears if driving manually, and stick to the speed limit.
Speaking of driving responsibly, you should make sure you’re saving as much money on
car insurance
for this new Camaro as possible.
