What’s the best-looking Corvette?
I had quite the disagreement with my local barista yesterday about the best-looking Corvette of all time. He said it's the 2006 Z06 Corvette, but I told him he was flat-out wrong, that the 1984 Corvette is far better-looking. Anyways, please settle this argument—what’s the best-looking Corvette?

First, let’s talk about style. Compared to the modern ‘06 ‘Vette and the blocky ‘84 model, the 1963 Corvette Stingray is flat-out gorgeous, with a space-age design that was truly ahead of its time. Its **fastback style split-rear window and sloped front end made the ‘63 Stingray instantly iconic.
The ‘63 Stingray’s side-mounted exhaust system featured two “side pipers” below each door. They look like side-mounted rocket boosters. Enough said.
In terms of power, the 1965 Stingray featured the line’s first big-block V8 engine, which oozed power and boasted 428 horsepower to propel this saucy roadster to automotive immortality. The Stingray also featured an independent rear suspension ensuring a smoother, more pliable ride. It was also lighter than previous Corvettes, due to its thinner fiberglass frame.
The C2 Stingray was the first Corvette to feature pop-up quad headlights, a design element that endured as a Corvette fixture until 2005.
So, we here at Jerry certainly hope you and your barista can put your differences aside and agree that both the ‘84 & ‘06 Corvettes don’t hold a candle to the second-generation 1963 Stingray.
