What type of oil does the 2011 Ford Fusion use?
I’m trying to teach my kids how to change their own oil by demonstrating on our 2011 Ford Fusion. It’s been awhile since I’ve changed the oil on my own and I can’t remember if the car needs 5W-20 or 5W-30 motor oil. Any advice?

, Ford recommends the use of 5W-20 extended performance synthetic motor oil. You can find more information about changing your Focus’s oil in the car’s owner’s manual, including its oil capacity and how frequently you should be changing your oil.
While the Fusion’s owner manual recommends 5W-20 motor oil for the model’s 2.5-liter I-4 engine, it does not specify a brand. Here are some great brand options for that specific type of oil:
