What kind of gas does a Mini Cooper take?

I recently acquired a Mini Cooper from a friend but I’m not sure what type of fuel it uses and I need to fill up the tank—what kind of gas does a Mini Cooper take?

Any
Mini Cooper
produced in more recent model years takes premium gasoline with an octane rating of at least 91. The higher the octane rating, the better your vehicle’s performance will be.
That said, the kind of gas older model Mini Coopers may be able to take is regular unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of only 87—for this reason, it is always recommended that you consult your owner’s manual if you are unsure of which fuel type to use.
Using the wrong type of fuel in your Mini Cooper can result in diminished performance and may even damage your engine, leading to costly repairs.
Keep yourself and your Mini Cooper safe on the road with the right insurance policy using
