Can you flat tow a 2022 GMC Acadia?
I’m thinking about buying a 2022 GMC Acadia, but I recently bought a Jayco RV as well. That said, I’ve never towed a vehicle behind an RV, and I’m not sure how to do it with the GMC Acadia. Is it possible to flat tow a 2022 GMC Acadia?

Unfortunately, you cannot flat tow a 2022 GMC Acadia under any circumstances. Doing so can significantly damage its drivetrain and would also void the warranty.
Fortunately, you have several other alternatives to tow your 2022 Acadia. Regardless of the drivetrain, you can always use a flatbed trailer to tow the vehicle. Alternatively, you can use a two-wheel dolly to tow the GMC Acadia. Just make sure to follow these directions:
- Park the vehicle on level ground in front of the dolly and turn the vehicle off.
- Make sure the parking brake is released.
- Press and hold the push-button start with your foot off the brake for five seconds.
- Hold the brake pedal.
- Press the parking brake switch for 15 seconds until the service parking brake light flashes.
- While the service parking brake light is still flashing, remove your foot from the brake pedal and release the parking brake switch.
- Immediately press and release the parking brake switch again while the service park brake light is still flashing.
- Start the vehicle.
- drive onto the dolly.
- Put the vehicle in park.
- Turn the vehicle off.
- Open the hood.
- Exit the vehicle and secure the vehicle onto the dolly.
- Disconnect the negative terminal connector from the battery.
- Close the hood.
- You’re done!
