What is the reckless driving speed?

I know that I can get a speeding ticket if I exceed the posted limit. But how fast do I need to be going for it to be considered reckless driving?

There is no single answer for what a reckless driving speed is since it varies between states. That said, almost all states classify reckless driving as driving in a manner that indicates a purposeful disregard for the safety of other people or property.
The ticketing law enforcement officer usually makes the judgment about whether your speeding is considered reckless based on how fast you were going and the road and weather conditions.
It’s a good idea to get familiar with the laws in your state. In general, though, it’s best not to push the limit and to exercise good judgment.
