What is the curfew for teen drivers in Alaska?

My daughter just got her license and she’s pretty excited. As a parent, I’m always a bit concerned—I don’t love the idea of her driving around Anchorage by herself at night. Does Alaska have a curfew for teen drivers?

Being concerned about your daughter is a huge part of parenting. The curfew for teen drivers in
Alaska
is between 1 a.m. and 5 a.m.
If your daughter is pulled over, the police officer can:
  • Simply tell her to go home
  • Issue a citation
  • Suspend her license
However, this curfew is only in effect until she hits the age of 16.5. Then she’ll receive an unrestricted license, which nullifies the statewide curfew for teen drivers.
Alaska is one of the most expensive places on the planet, but that doesn’t mean your daughter’s car insurance has to be. Instead of paying too much, shop around for your next car insurance policy with the
