Bluetooth, you can either reset the SYNC connection or do a master reset of the SYNC system. Follow these steps:
To reset the connection with SYNC:
On your mobile phone, access the Bluetooth menu and turn it OFF, and then ON.
In the SYNC menu on your Fiesta’s multimedia screen, click Bluetooth OFF and then ON by pressing the Phone icon > System Settings > OK > Bluetooth Devices > OK > OFF > ON.
You may need to manually SYNC with your mobile device. To do this, press the Phone button > System Settings > OK > Connect Bluetooth Device > OK > Select your phone’s name > OK.
In cases where your connection fails or takes over a minute, continue with the following steps:
Connect the phone to your vehicle’s SYNC system by locating your phone’s Bluetooth menu and tapping the SYNC option.
Turn off your vehicle’s engine and restart the car. Once started, wait for a confirmation message that the connection was successful to display on your SYNC screen.
To do a master reset of the SYNC system:
On your mobile phone, navigate to the Bluetooth menu from Settings and select SYNC. Either swipe or click to delete it.
On your Fiesta’s touchscreen, select the Menu icon.
Use the Down Arrow to reach the Settings option on the SYNC screen.
Tap OK to confirm.
Use the Down Arrow to reach the Master Reset option.
Press OK to confirm the reset.
A confirmation message will appear asking you to confirm the reset—press Yes to confirm.
Once you complete a master reset, you’ll need to reconnect your phone to your vehicle’s Bluetooth system.
