What is the 2012 Nissan Rogue oil type?

I just went to the store to buy oil for my 2012 Nissan Rogue, and I realized I had no idea what kind to get. I didn’t know there were different kinds! I’m gonna go back tomorrow—what type of oil do I need to buy?

 oil type is 5W-30. If you ask a store clerk at any auto parts store, they should be able to tell you what type of oil your particular car takes.
No luck with that? Check your owner’s manual or the oil cap in your engine—it’s usually labeled with the type of oil you need!
If that doesn’t work, a quick Google search should do the trick.
