What kind of oil does a 2017 Nissan Rogue take?

A buddy of mine who is a mechanic has agreed to do the oil change in my car for free if I provide the materials. You can bet I am going to take him up on it! I don’t want to embarrass myself by buying the wrong thing. What kind of oil does a 2017 Nissan Rogue take?

What a great friend! Nothing is better than saving a few bucks where you can with your car!
The 2017
Nissan Rogue
takes five quarts of SAE 0W-20 viscosity grade motor oil. In addition to using that type, the manufacturer recommends that you choose a synthetic oil, as opposed to a conventional one.
Newer engines (made after 2011) are typically built to work best with synthetic oil, which flows easily through your car at all temperatures. A 0W-20 viscosity oil ensures that the oil will perform well even when your engine is cold.
Using the correct oil and sticking to a
30-60-90 maintenance
schedule are the easiest things you can do to extend the life of your engine.
